Grounded in His Truth

The very words of the Bible are "breathed out by God", so we learn and apply them to our everyday life.

    Glory to the newborn King!

The prophets pointed to Him. The angels announced Him. God sent Him.

And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.  Luke 2: 8-12

The Good News of the Gospel

When someone shares good news with us, it usually follows bad news.

In the case of our relationship with God our Creator, the bad news is that we have all been separated from God because of sin, which is choosing our way instead of God's.

The good news is that God gave us His son, Jesus Christ, to sacrifice his life for ours so that through the work of Jesus we are forgiven, reconciled to God and have the promise of heaven. It is when we believe and place our faith in Jesus, instead of our own good works, that we receive this free gift of God's love called salvation.
